Snippets From Syd; Daddy Just Cleaned the Car

Tonight was our Wednesday night Bible study group.  Our girls really like this night as their two good friends from church are there and they have one on one time with them.  Reason #2 - everyone brings a desert or snack food to have after the Bible study, as a sort of fellowship time.  Tonight, upon hubby's approval, I stayed home for some quiet time.

On her way out the door, our six year old came in and gave me a big hug and told me that she would bring me a goodie home from bubble study.  I assured her that I would be absolutely fine with that.  I didn't give it another thought until she came barreling through the front door upon their return.

6 year old:  "MOMMY, MOMMY, WHERE ARE YOU MOMMY?"

Me:  "I'm in the bedroom ladybug."

6 year old:  (swiftly entering our bedroom) "Mommy, I brought you this from bubble study.

What she handed me brought me to tears and I don't mean tears from being saddened or upset, but rather from laughing so hard that I couldn't breath.

A "brownie" that she brought home for me that compare, in size, to a nickel.  Yes it was just that small, but she had a REALLY great excuse for it's lack of size.  You see, it kept falling apart all over the carseat so she had to eat what was falling off in order not to make a mess.

"After all, daddy just cleaned his car."

I thought it was so cute!  This will be something that I won't forget anytime soon - that's for sure!

Looking at blogs, for me, is like driving down the street at night and happening by a house that has all its curtains wide open with the lights on... you get a quick glance into someone else's life.

So, friend, please leave a message... I'm leaving the curtains wide open and all the lights are on. I'd love to chat with ya! (and I try to respond to all my comments)
